The Ministry of Justice will be supported in the field of strategic communication

The Embassy Office of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Moldova will provide support to the Ministry of Justice in the field of strategic communication, within a technical assistance project implemented in partnership with the Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE).

A project inception meeting was held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, with the participation of the Minister of Justice, Sergiu Litvinenco, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy Office of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Moldova, Floris Van Eijk and IPRE Executive Director, Iulian Groza.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed about the activities that will be implemented within the project “Strategic communication and consultancy support to the Ministry of Justice”. They also exchanged views about the importance of cooperation with development partners and interested actors in the implementation of the short- to medium-term priorities of the new Strategy on Ensuring the Independence and Integrity of the Justice Sector, recently adopted by the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.

“Communication is crucial to the success of any reform. Especially in the case of the judicial reform, which is a complex and delicate one”, underlined Floris Van Eijk, Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy Office of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Moldova.

In his turn, the Minister of Justice, Sergiu Litvinenco, welcomed the timely support, reaffirming the commitment of the Ministry of Justice in implementing the justice sector reform agenda in an enhanced framework of public communication and decision-making transparency.

The project “Strategic Communication and consultancy support to the Ministry of Justice ” is funded by the Embassy Office of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Moldova within the MATRA Program and is implemented by the Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE), in partnership with the Ministry of Justice. The overall objective of the project is to increase the awareness among key stakeholders and general public on the priorities and actions of the Ministry of Justice in the area of justice reform and fight against high level corruption.
