IPRE and GIZ Moldova completed a training program aimed at strengthening capacities of civil servants in public policies and cost estimation

The Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE), with the support of German Development Cooperation and in coordination with the State Chancellery, has successfully concluded a series of training sessions for civil servants during July–August 2025. The main objective of these activities was to strengthen institutional capacities in strategic planning, public policy development, and cost estimation.

Through these sessions, IPRE contributed to the development of civil sevants competencies, supporting evidence-based and effective governance. Participants had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of public policy development methodology in a coherent and strategic format, apply modern tools to assess the efficiency and sustainability of policies, and develop analytical skills for formulating relevant evaluation questions and criteria.

Additionally, participants learned how to understand data collection and analysis methods essential for the decision-making process, and how to identify strengths and vulnerabilities in progress and evaluation reports. This contributes to the development of well-founded, coherent and adapted to the needs of society.

The activities were organized with the support of the “Policy Advisory Fund” Project, funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (#BMZ) and implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ Moldova).
