IPRE organized an advocacy visit to Brussels for a group of civil society representatives from the Republic of Moldova

Iulian Groza, Executive Director of the Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE), participated on March 26–27, 2025, together with a group of civil society representatives from the Republic of Moldova, in an advocacy visit to Brussels. The visit aimed to strengthen the connection between Moldovan civil society and European institutions at a key moment in the country’s EU accession journey.

The participants held discussions with representatives of European institutions about the ongoing reforms in the Republic of Moldova, at a critical stage in the country’s path toward European Union membership. The discussions focused on the progress achieved and lessons learned in advancing the reform agenda, strengthening transparency and good governance in the implementation of the Economic Growth Plan, as well as on supporting civic space and democratic processes. Special emphasis was placed on the importance of supporting independent media and civil society.

The advocacy visit was organized by IPRE, with the support of the European Union  and German Marshall Fund al SUA – Transatlantic Foundation (GMF-TF), within the project “Advancing Moldova’s EU accession efforts through advocacy efforts”.
