The second edition of the #CAPACITY4EU training program, focused on strengthening civil society’s capacity for active engagement in EU accession negotiations, has been successfully completed

The Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE), in collaboration with the Institute for Strategic Initiatives (IPIS) and the Berlin-based Institut für Europäische Politik (IEP), completed the second edition of its training program covering key topics related to Moldova’s negotiation process with the European Union.

The program aimed to strengthen the capacity of civil society in Moldova’s European integration process by equipping participants with the necessary tools to understand and monitor the EU accession negotiations. It included interactive sessions offering an overview of the negotiation progress, the EU enlargement methodology, and democratic accountability mechanisms throughout the process.

The first module, held on March 13, 2025, provided participants with updated insights into the institutional framework for EU integration coordination, at the political, governmental, and operational levels. It also reviewed recent achievements in the bilateral screening phase.

The second module, held on March 27, 2025, focused on the role of civil society in the bilateral screening phase and on EU support for the accession process. The third module, held on April 10, 2025, focused on the EU’s communication strategy and the EU Growth Plan for Moldova adopted by the European Commission, and how NGOs can contribute to its implementation through monitoring, advocacy, and reform support.

The #CAPACITY4EU –Civil Society for EU Integration project is implemented by the Berlin based Institut für Europäische Politik (IEP), in partnership with the Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE), and the Institute for Strategic Initiatives (IPIS).
