IPRE organized an advocacy visit to Paris for a group of civil society representatives from the Republic of Moldova
Between 10 – 12 March 2025, Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE) organized an advocacy visit to Paris for a group of civil society representatives from Moldova.
During the visit, representatives of IPRE, Promo-LEX Association and Watchdog community participated at the workshop “Strategic and Security Challenges for the EU in the Black Sea Region,” organized by the German Marshall Fund (GMF), the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR), and the Romanian Embassy to France. The workshop agenda included discussions on the hybrid security threats targeting countries in the Black Sea region and the actions needed to combat these threats through enhanced regional cooperation. In this context, a series of proposals and recommendations were presented, which will be forwarded to the attention of decision-makers in the EU and EU member states.
Additionally, during the visit, experts from the Republic of Moldova held a series of meetings with representatives of public authorities, civil society and mass-media from France. In the margins of these meetings, the interlocutors discussed the main progress, challenges, and needs of the Republic of Moldova regarding the EU accession process, as well as new initiatives through which France and the EU could support the country’s Europeanization agenda.
The advocacy visit was organized by IPRE, with the support of the European Union and German Marshall Fund al SUA – Transatlantic Foundation (GMF-TF), within the project “Advancing Moldova’s EU accession efforts through advocacy efforts”.
