Project – Civil Society for EU Integration – CAPACITY4EU

The primary goal of the Civil Society for EU Integration – CAPACITY4EU project is to foster democratic transformation in the Republic of Moldova and enhance its integration with the European Union.

Objectives:

1. Strengthening civil society capacities for monitoring and supporting the upcoming EU accession negotiations in the Republic of Moldova at the central level.
2. Involve Moldovan civil society at the local/regional level in the implementation of reforms needed for EU accession negotiations and broaden societal support for the core objective of European integration.
3. Timely education on disinformation campaigns at local level (via social media, regional media, television) to counter disinformation on the policies of the EU and its Member States.
4. Promotion of civil society exchange with Germany and EU enlargement countries on the role of civil society in the accession negotiation process, EU communication and countering disinformation.

The project is collaboratively implemented by the Institute for European Policies and Reforms, the Berlin-based Institut für Europäische Politik, and the Institute for Strategic Initiatives, and supported by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany under its civil society cooperation program.

Project Duration: July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025.
