Washington Visit: Moldova’s Voice in the Transatlantic Dialogue

Iulian Groza, Executive Director of #IPRE, took part in the first Moldovan delegation visit to Washington, D.C. after the parliamentary elections — a diverse group of think-tank experts, civil society leaders, and media partners visiting the U.S. capital under the theme #WhyMoldovaMatters.
Organized by our long-standing partners and friends at the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF), the program featured meetings on Capitol Hill and a public event at GMF Headquarters titled “Moldova’s 2025 Elections: Lessons for Democracy, Security, and the Transatlantic Relationship”, with Ambassador Vlad Kulminski as speaker and Josh Rudolph as moderator.
Iulian Groza joined insightful discussions on strengthening the U.S.–Moldova partnership, advancing democratic resilience, and reinforcing security in the Black Sea region.
Special thanks go to the GMF Black Sea Trust for Regional Cooperation team in Bucharest and the German Marshall Fund of the United States office for organizing such a meaningful and engaging program. It was also a pleasure to reconnect with Ambassador Vlad Kulminski in his new role as Moldova’s voice in Washington.
This visit reaffirmed the vital role of think tanks and civil society in promoting Moldova’s national interests and demonstrated that Moldova continues to be a trusted U.S. partner and a pillar of stability in the region.
