9 September 2024

The Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE), in cooperation with GIZ Moldova, organized between 6-7 September 2024 a workshop dedicated to strengthening the skills and knowledge of journalists from Moldova in the field of European affairs.

During the workshop, Robert Lupițu, editor-in-chief of the caleaeuropeana.ro platform, facilitated a series of sessions on the decision-making process in the EU institutions, elaboration of press materials in the field of European affairs and countering of false narratives regarding the relations between the Moldova and the EU.

At the same time, the participants discussed with Luciano Scambiato Licciardi, Press and Information Officer, Delegation of the European Union to Moldova, about the communication channels for the promotion of activities and projects financed by the EU in Moldova. The guest speaker presented the main platforms where journalists can obtain data and information regarding EU programs for Moldova.

In the next period, several journalists who participated at the training session will be participating in working visits to 10 countries, which joined the EU between 2004 and 2013. During the visits, the journalists will produce reportages and articles dedicated to the post-accession experience to the EU of the 10 European states, including the benefits brought by the European integration process for the society and the business environment.

This training session was organized by IPRE, within the project ”Media4EUintegration: Enhancing the media coverage of foreign policy and European integration process by the Moldovan mass-media”, financed by the German Federal Foreign Office and implemented by German Agency for International Cooperation.
