Project “Civil society for integrity- #CivilSociety4Integrity”
The project “Civil society for integrity- #CivilSociety4Integrity” is implemented by Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE) with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in the framework of the Justice and Anti-Corruption Reform Activity (JARA).
The JARA program supports the Moldovan Government’s efforts to implement justice reform and promote its anti-corruption commitments. In the context of this major objective the project #CivilSociety4Integrity, implemented by IPRE, aims to elevate public awareness, and strengthen the visibility of justice integrity and anti-corruption efforts through active civil society engagement. By fostering collaboration and empowerment, the project seeks to drive positive change in Moldova’s justice and anti-corruption landscape.
The overall project goal shall be attained via two specific objectives, as follows:
Project Specific Objectives:
Objective 1: Enhancing capacities of CSOs to raise awareness, contribute to policy monitoring and advocacy on justice and anticorruption efforts in Moldova.
Objective 2: Contributing to more transparent, efficient, and accountable justice and anticorruption bodies with the contribution of civil society expertise.
Project Outcomes:
Outcome 1: The general public has become more informed about justice and anticorruption efforts as a result of visibility, transparency and advocacy activities supported by empowered civil society organizations.
Outcome 2: More transparent, efficient, and accountable justice and anticorruption bodies with the support of civil society evidence-based policy expertise.
The activities foreseen in the project are based on 3 main pillars:
- Capacity building. Under this pillar selected CSOs within the JARA Grants Program will benefit from a capacity building program on transparency, policy monitoring, visibility and advocacy on justice and anticorruption in Moldova. Subsequently, a mentorship program will be implemented, aiming to foster the long-term capacity of CSOs in effectively managing governance-related grants and activities beyond JARA.
- Awareness raising. Under this pillar IPRE will support CSOs beneficiaries of the JARA program in conducting awareness raising and visibility activities with the participation of civil society.
- Expertise and technical assistance. Under this pillar one national institution with competences in the justice and anticorruption sector will be identified to be subject of a functional analysis/needs-assessment to increase efficiency and strengthen functional capacities to deliver on its key mandate.
