Project: Digital Moldova

Implementation period: June 12, 2023- June 11, 2024.
The purpose of the project is to increase the level of information regarding the digital transformation process in the Republic of Moldova, through a better awareness of the benefits and opportunities arising from the use of digital authentication mechanisms and digital services by the authorities, the business environment, civil society and local communities.
The objectives pursued within the project are the following:
- Elaboration of thematic analyses, intended to evaluate the main progress and challenges, but also to offer several thematic recommendations on the dimension of: (1) the implementation of public policies and institutional reforms in the field of digital transformation and cyber security, (2) the creation and use of digital services at national level, (3) the role of non-governmental actors (civil society, educational institutions, the business environment, etc.) in supporting the digital transformation process;
- Promoting dialogue and cooperation between civil society, public authorities, the business environment, through different working formats and thematic events organized at local, national and regional level.
The activities within this project are carried out with the joint support of the “Policy Advisory Fund” and “E-Government and Digitalization in Eastern Partnership countries” projects, financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by GIZ Moldova.
