#Justice4Moldova Project Launch Event

The Institute for European Policies and Reforms, in partnership with the Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR), has the honor to invite you the launching event of the project “Ensuring the integrity, efficiency and independence of the Moldovan justice system – #Justice4Moldova, funded by the European Union and co-financed by the Soros Foundation Moldova, which will take place on Wednesday, July 12 2023, 14:30-16.00 (13.30 – registration), at the Digital Park, „Community Hall” str. Mihai Viteazul 15. The event will be held in Romanian, with simultaneous translation into English.

The launching event aims to present the objectives of the project and address the importance of justice reform for the Moldova’s European integration path.

The event will be structured in three sessions, as follows:

  • Opening remarks from the Prime-minister of the Republic of Moldova, Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova, representatives of project donors and partners;
  • Presentation of the project;
  • Discussion session: Justice sector reform – A reality check of Moldova’s number #1 Commitment to start accession negotiations with the EU, with participation of the representatives of public authorities and civil society.

The event will bring together representatives of the public authorities, development partners of the Republic of Moldova, justice sector actors i.e., judges, prosecutors, lawyers, as well as representatives of think-tanks, civil society organizations and mass-media. The event will be streamed live on privesc.eu and the Facebook pages: Institute for European Policy and Reform (IPRE) and Institute for War & Peace Reporting (IWPR).
