IPRE and the Parliament will enhance the cooperation in the process of Moldova’s European integration

On Tuesday, October 25, 2022, Iulian Groza, Executive Director, Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE) and Mihai Popsoi, Vice-President, Parliament of the Republic of Moldova concluded a Memorandum of Understanding on promoting parliamentary diplomacy and European integration process.

Given Moldova’s EU candidate status and the importance to advance EU accession negotiations, IPRE and the Parliament will aim:

  • to contribute to the promotion of the parliamentary diplomacy;
  • to develop cooperation programmes with civil society, increasing transparency and predictability in the legislative process;
  • to increase the capacity of analysis and expertise on the topics related to the European integration process of the Republic of Moldova;
  • to contribute to the realisation of the parliamentary agenda in the field of foreign policy and European integration.

The Memorandum was concluded in the context of the IPRE’s initiative “Increasing the role of think-tanks in supporting the national effort of the European integration of the Republic of Moldova – #ThinkTanks4EUMembership”, implemented with the support of the Open Society Foundations (OSF).
