#ReforMD: Civil society contributes to the revision of the legal framework on preventing and combating disinformation in the online environment

The Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE), in partnership with the Institute for European Policies in Berlin (IEP) and the Institute for Strategic Initiatives (IPIS), organized on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, a policy debate on combating the disinformation in the online environment.

The purpose of the session was to exchange opinions and identify the options to advance the finalization of the draft law on preventing and combating disinformation in the online environment. The debate was attended by representatives of civil society, national and international experts in the field of strategic communication and countering disinformation, representatives of the Parliament and of the national authorities.

In the next period, IPRE experts in cooperation with peers from civil society and international experts will prepare a public policy proposal, which will aim to identify the most optimal solutions proposed for the draft law on preventing and combating disinformation in the online environment.

The debate was facilitated by IPRE, within the project “reforMD – Resilience against disinformation in the Republic of Moldova”, implemented in partnership with the Institute for European Policies (IEP) from Berlin and the Institute for Strategic Initiatives (IPIS), and with the support of the Civil society cooperation program of the Federal Foreign Office.
