Find out who are the winners of the EUROPA QUIZ: The European Union: 71 years since the adoption of the Schuman Declaration

The Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE), with the support of the Hanns Seidel Foundation and in partnership with Moldovan Club for Intellectual Games (CMJI), Young European Ambassadors, European Business Association, B.P. Hașdeu library, Europe Café and the project ‘Visibility of EU assistance and EU in the Republic of Moldova, organized on Saturday, May 22, 2021, the second event within the #BeTheChange initiative: “Europa Quiz: The European Union: 71 years since the adoption of the Schuman Declaration”.

The ‘Europa Quiz’ was attended by young people passionate about intellectual games, eager to test their knowledge about the European Union, but also critical thinking, logic, and team spirit. The game consisted of 5 thematic rounds, with questions on the subject of the European Union, history, events, curiosities, languages, music, cinema and other areas related to the EU and Europe. The event was organized in a hybrid format: 7 teams were physically present, while other 17 competing online.

In the end, the winning teams were announced, as follows:

Offline:

  1. Joyce Division: Viorel Chihai, Dan-Cristian Cubreacov and Eugen Bâbâlici (c) – 33 points
  2. Interregnum: Mădalina Rotaru and Dan Rotaru (c) – 15 points
  3. Young European Ambassadors: Daniel Bâzdâga, Marcel Roșca and Teodora Drucec (c) – 14 points

Online:

  1. Valea Lupului: Alexandru Lupu, Andrian Macari (c)  – 33 points

The three offline winners were awarded at the end of the competition. There was also a special prize awarded to the online team, which accumulated the highest score. The prizes were kindly offered by the EU Delegation to Moldova, the EU Information Center in Chisinau – Europe Café, the Slovenian Embassy in Bucharest, and the European Business Association (EBA).
